I love hearing of productions of “Coram Boy being underway” – whether in school halls – or theatres in all sorts of far-flung places. Now another, this time in Chichester, at the prestigious Chichester Festival Theatre. Every production I’ve seen has brought something new to the original production, which took place all those years ago at the National, in London. The wonder of theatre is that there is always room for re-interpretation, or to take a new look at the story, perhaps from a different angle. For me, the ending of the play, Coram Boy, (different from the book) is always the greatest challenge, and I can’t wait to see what Chichester will do with it. For more info, click here.
